The bestselling book The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying was written not only as a means of help and guidance for the dying, but also as a guide for living, with valuable advice on how to live without the fear of death and the unknown. This weekend will focus on Living and Dying, and techniques we can use to bring increased awareness to all aspects of our day-to-day lives.

Geshe YongDong

Geshe YongDong is a witty, engaging and articulate leader, whose teachings are suitable for students of all faith traditions and experience levels. A Buddhist monk of the ancient Bon tradition, he escaped Tibet in 1992, at the age of 24, and is now based in Courtney, B.C. where he runs the Sherab Chamma Ling Centre –

Friday 7–9pm: 
Sang Chod Fire Puja Ritual and Introduction to Living and Dying
Sat. 10am–3:30pm  (lunch break noon–1:30pm):
Saturday 6pm:
Community Potluck – all are welcome! (registration not required)
Sunday 10am–1pm:   



The Registration Fee is $10 per person.

All teachings are by “dana” (generosity). Suggested dana is $50–$100 for the weekend.

An additional contribution toward upkeep of Dorje Ling Centre is greatly appreciated.

Limited accommodation is available on site, at regular Hostel rates – click here for info. Some local billeting may also be available. Reservations are required.

Carpooling is encouraged – please let us know if you have space to share in your car, or if you are looking for a ride.
